Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Location : Paramus, NJ (Float to 4 local offices)

Pay : $20.00 — $24.00 per hour

Contract Length : 13-Week Contract

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 7 : 45 AM – 4 : 15 PM (No weekends, holidays, or on-call)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team on a 13-week contract assignment in Paramus, NJ. The CMA will support clinical staff in delivering high-quality care while also performing clerical duties as needed. This role requires floating between four office locations and working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies
  • Assist providers with patient exams and procedures
  • Obtain and record vitals in patient charts
  • Perform diagnostic testing after competency completion, including :

    • EKGs, PFTs, Audiometry, Titmus testing

  • Urine drug screening, BAT, phlebotomy, and lab tests
  • Properly operate and maintain clinical equipment
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with billing processes
  • Maintain office systems using electronic medical software
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and excellent patient communication
  • Provide culturally & age-appropriate care
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned
  • Ability to lift 5 lbs., push / pull 10 lbs., and stand at least 6 hours / day

    • Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current AHA BLS certification
  • One of the following certifications :

    • CMA-NHA

  • CMA-NCCT
  • CMA-AAMA
  • RMA-AMT
  • RMA-NAHP
  • AMCA
  • NCMA

    • Preferred

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program

    • Skills

  • Excellent communication and patient-interaction skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment

  • Hours : 7 : 45 AM – 4 : 15 PM
  • Float : Yes — between four office locations (advance notice provided)
