About the Role
The Company is in search of a Senior Counsel with a strong background in civil litigation defense to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a minimum of 7 years' of litigation experience, capable of independently managing a diverse caseload, leading case teams, and providing trusted advisory services to clients. Key responsibilities for this role include leading all phases of civil litigation, from case strategy to trial or settlement, drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and supervising the professional development of junior attorneys and paralegals. The role also involves the development and implementation of litigation strategies that align with client goals, as well as participation in business development initiatives.
Applicants for the Senior Counsel position at the company should hold a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, be actively admitted to the California State Bar, and have a proven track record in managing complex cases with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of state and federal litigation procedures, exceptional legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills, and experience in mentoring or supervising junior attorneys. The role requires an individual who is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
