About the Role
We are inviting applications for the position of inaugural Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to be part of our executive leadership team. As the CMO, you will take the lead in overseeing and advancing quality and patient safety while enhancing care delivery capabilities. Your collaboration with other leaders is vital to improving operational processes, enhancing both patient and provider experiences, and ensuring the highest standards of care quality and efficiency.
You will serve as the primary liaison between administration and hospital staff, fostering a strong, collaborative environment. Additionally, you will be actively engaged in medical staff affairs, which includes privileging, credentialing, peer reviews, and overseeing provider performance. Supporting physician recruitment, retention, and engagement will also be key responsibilities of your role.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10-15 years of clinical physician experience, with at least 5-10 years in physician leadership, particularly in quality and safety. A medical degree (MD, DO, MD / PhD) along with board certification in pediatrics or a pediatric sub-specialty is required. Strong leadership, management, and communication skills are essential, as well as a proven track record of working effectively with diverse teams. Experience with quality improvement methodologies and a background in behavioral and organizational change will enhance your ability to drive clinical quality as well as lead our organization through growth and expansion.
