Business Office Manager (BOM) Job Responsibilities :
Verifies benefits on all new admissions and monthly thereafter.
Reviews and Correct PCC Dashboard errors daily
Prepares AR payments (cash, checks, credit / debit card) payments daily.
Collects all private pay, patient liability and private co-insurance outstanding balances.
Processes 3619 on all Medicaid or Medicaid pending residents who reach the twenty-first of their Medicare stay, when they discharge or readmit from hospital after day twenty-one when they discharge back to long term care
Prepare Daily Census
Process Mail and Correspondence
Resolve issues on Unbillable report
Process and document Trust Account Deposits / Withdrawals
Process 3618 on all Medicaid or Medicaid pending Admissions, Readmits, TO, TI, Discharges, and Discharges to hospice or admissions from Hospice
Process Resident, Dental and Wheelchair Refunds
Process Resident Refunds
Perform Quality Checks of all new admissions
Process Liability Changes for MCD Residents in PCC
Reply to Corporate requests via Phone or e-mail
Coordinates Weekly AR Meeting with Administrator
Submits Weekly Medicaid Pending Update to VP of Rev Cycle
Attends Weekly BOM Teams call
Sends Private Pay and Patient Liability statements 25th of month
Completes Medicaid Occupancy Report on first business day of month.
Enters Ancillary Charges into PCC. (lab, rad, RX, supplies)
Coordinates Monthly Corp AR Review
Coordinates Triple Check Meeting
