Medical-Surgical RN Job Details

Location : Englewood, CO (Zip : 80113) – Colorado healthcare jobs

Facility : Swedish Medical Center, 6 MedTele Unit

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 27 / 2025 – End : 1 / 26 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1470–$1570

Patient Ratio : 5 : 1 (night shift)

Unit Size : 33 rooms, up to 49 patients

Technology : Telemetry monitoring, Meditech EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Colorado or compact state

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience

Proficiency in wound care and telemetry monitoring

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred : Experience with spinal cord injury patients and burn care

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care in a busy medical-surgical unit

Perform wound care, bowel programs, and light burn care

Monitor patients using telemetry equipment and document in Meditech EMR

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including the burn unit

Deliver care in semi-private rooms and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Support surgical flap patients and those requiring specialized interventions
