Job Summary :

St. David’s Medical Center is seeking a full-time Acute Care Nurse Practitioner ( ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic cardiology care team. This hospital-based role focuses on delivering high-quality care to post-surgical and ICU cardiac patients, supporting both cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons in Austin, TX.

Qualified Candidates :

• Board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Texas licensure required
• No Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs)
• Hospital bases APP
• Minimum of 2 -3 years’ experience in cardiology and / or ICU settings
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Monday–Friday, 7 : 00 AM–4 : 00 PM
• No night shifts
• Provide inpatient cardiac care, including rounding, assessments, and care coordination.
• Develop and implement discharge plans under the supervision of cardiology providers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Cover patient care responsibilities at St. David’s Medical Center.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rounding across St. David’s HealthCare hospitals (approximately one weekend every two months).
