About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel with a focus on Intellectual Property and Competition to join their mission-driven global team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a diverse range of IP and competition matters, including the development and oversight of IP strategy, licensing, and handling a small patent portfolio. A key aspect of the role is managing IP and competition litigation, as well as regulatory issues. The Senior Counsel will also be involved in advising on the company's participation in global standards bodies, supporting advocacy efforts, and serving as a trusted legal advisor to both leadership and technical teams.
Applicants must have a J.D. and active bar membership, with a minimum of 8 years' of relevant legal experience, including in-house experience at a technology company. A strong background in intellectual property, particularly in software licensing and open source, is essential. The role requires experience in managing litigation in the U.S., familiarity with competition and antitrust issues, and a keen interest in regulatory developments. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, excellent collaboration and communication skills, and a passion for technology, open source, and global regulatory issues.
