Department Overview

Electric Operations ensures the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.

The Quality Management Organization provides oversight of compliance activities within Electric Operations. EOQM System Hardening and Undergrounding is responsible for ensuring that all System Hardening is built to current standards and procedures. The department is the primary liaison with external regulators (NERC / WECC, CPUC, CAISO, etc.), manages new and changing requirements, regulatory audits, incident reporting and review, and customer complaints. The department is responsible for leading compliance improvement initiatives.

Position Summary

The Electric Operations Distribution Maintenance and Construction leadership manages teams directly or indirectly involved in maintaining or building parts of the service territory distribution grid. Supervisors and Superintendents may oversee teams working projects throughout the services territory. The Distribution leaders provide safe and reliable electric service while maintaining compliance with the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) General Orders, all safety regulations and other regulatory requirements. The leaders fully implement safety best practices and manage employee’s accountability. Leaders must ensure full compliance with the Injury & Illness Prevention Program.

Position location will be within the Central Coast, Bay Area or North Coast regions. Bay Area preferred

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location.  The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​  This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Bay Area –  $129,000 - $184,800

And / or

California - $123,000 - $176,000

Job Responsibilities

• Effectively utilizes resources by monitoring crew productivity.

• Responds to emergencies and outages. May serve as a field leader (e.g. District Storm Room Lead, Task Force Lead) in OEC / EOC major emergency activations.
• Supervises staff, including bargaining unit employees, to accomplish results through recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, and rewards and recognition.
