Senior Research Engineer, End to End Testing

We seek a highly motivated and technically qualified individual to join our NTIA NOFO 2 SRFA 1 Development Team.

The Senior Research Engineer, End to End Testing will conduct system level performance testing.

This position will work closely with Development, Verification, Manufacturing, and IOT engineers.

Reporting to the Director of Systems, this position is a key contributor to SOLiD's continued growth and success.

Duties will include the following :

Responsibilities

• End-to-end performance and functional testing of a system comprising O-RAN Radio Unit (RU) and DAS subsystems
• Conduct detailed technical performance and functional analyses for the end-to-end system, subsystem, and system elements from software, hardware, and RF points of view
• Prepare comprehensive test plans and procedures for the developed hardware in conjunction with the emulated DU and the DAS system
• Perform hands-on testing, debugging, and optimization of the digital hardware board coupled with the emulated DU and the DAS in a lab environment
• Conduct O-RU Software Validation by functional testing of O-RU operations, including RF signal processing and synchronization.

Validate Fault, Alarm, Monitoring, Configuration, and Security (FAMCS) capabilities.
