Responsibilities Work in a 32-bed Ortho / Neuro Med / Surg unit handling medical overflow Patient population includes scheduled orthopedic, neuro / surgical patients, fractures, and general medical overflow Night shift from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30 with every other weekend required Clinician to patient ratio is 1 : 5 or 1 : 6 on nights Floating to applicable units required as needed EPIC charting system is used in this unit Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care and telemetry monitoring to orthopedic, neuro, and medical overflow patients Team-based environment with both day and night teams supported by experienced staff Parking may not be validated; public parking and transportation options are available Holiday coverage may be required per unit needs RTO (requested time off) must be disclosed at time of initial consideration Local candidates within 60 miles of MGH in Boston will receive a modified rate No pending licenses accepted for this assignment COVID-19 and Flu vaccination are mandatory with no religious or medical exemptions Requirements Active MA RN license required at time of consideration; MA Conditional licenses not accepted Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry experience required Current BLS certification from AHA is required ACLS from AHA is preferred Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips Neuro assessment skills and telemetry competency required Proof of COVID-19 and Flu vaccination required with no exemptions allowed Two professional references required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-601873.
