Job description

LPN / RN (Nights) - Addiction Recovery | Wooded Glen Recovery Center | Henryville, Indiana

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care to patients. Supervising care treatment and services of patient care provided by LPNs, CNAs, and other staff on assigned unit and shift. Developing, implementing, and evaluating an individual plan of care for each client. Assessment and re-assessment of patients. Communicating appropriate information with the interdisciplinary team. Reporting client concerns and changes in condition to supervisor and / or physician in a timely manner.

What We're Looking For

Experience : At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred; prior work in behavioral health, psychiatric, or addiction recovery settings is a plus.

Skills : Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to provide calm, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Active LPN / RN license

Psychiatric Nursing Certification preferred, but not required

What You'll Do

Provide compassionate care : Assess the physical and behavioral health needs of clients, develop individualized care plans, and deliver evidence-based nursing interventions.

Support recovery every step of the way : Educate clients and families about health conditions, medications, and recovery strategies, empowering them with knowledge for long-term success.

Ensure safety and compliance : Accurately administer and monitor medications (including controlled substances), document all interventions, and promptly notify physicians of any significant changes.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team : Work closely with physicians, therapists, and program managers to provide coordinated, holistic care. Participate in treatment planning, family meetings, and unit activities.

Lead with professionalism : Supervise self-administration of medications, complete admission and discharge processes, monitor acuity and staffing needs, and ensure thorough documentation.

Be a trusted communicator : Give detailed shift reports, handle physician orders with precision, and provide coverage in emergency services as needed.
