Salary : $30 - $35 / hour
General Summary :
The Therapist is part of the clinical team. She / he follows clients progress from a therapeutic standpoint from admittance to discharge, keeps Program Director and Case Managers informed on any issues / problems with any clients. The Therapist completes timely documentation and adheres to all company policies and procedures within their purview.
Job Duties :
- The Therapist follows clients progress throughout the treatment processes :
Responsible for conducting therapy groups weekly (as directed).
Meets with clients on an individual basis when requested by client or recommended by Case Manager.Documents progress notes in client files following each individual session.Maintains contact with Program Director and CEO regarding individuals progress.Responsible for attending and participating in mandatory weekly clinical staff meetings to discuss client care and all aspects of treatment.Knowledge of policy and procedure manual relating to program protocol.
Completion of client treatment plans for all assigned clients and will work in collaboration with their assigned case manager for discharge planning.Therapist performs and maintains professional abilities in the following areas :Maintain and adhere to all Federal, State, and County regulations regarding client confidentiality and staff code of ethics.
Continuous training in areas where needed, attendance at seminars, and continue earning CEUs.Crisis intervention-recognizing emotional stress and utilizing resources to resolve problems.Client education-provide current alcohol / drug information and available resources to resolve problems.Refer clients requiring services (that fall outside of SCSRCs scope) to appropriate agencies after clearing through the Program Director and / or CEO.Ensure that all services being provided follow HIPAA and CFR 42 and DHCS standards.Communicate with families or referral sources as deemed appropriate.As directed will audit behavioral tech and case management documentation.Minimum Qualifications :
Completion of a Masters degree.Licensed to practice therapy in CA with AMFT / ACSW or LMFT / LCSWAdvanced knowledge of Self Help treatment model and its application in outpatient treatment.Specific knowledge helpful in process addiction and treatment resources.Advanced assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning and documentation skills.Knowledge of treatment and referral community in Southern California.Knowledge of dual diagnosis treatment practice including non-pharmacological symptom management techniques.Current certification in First Aid / CPRAdvanced knowledge of HIPAA and CFR 42 requirements.Competency :
Demonstrates knowledge of client rights and confidentiality laws related to addictions.Demonstrates knowledge and skills to assess the clients dependence / addictive behaviors in relation to his physical status.Demonstrates knowledge of community resources, including social and educational services, and ability to make appropriate referrals.Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacological issues of addictions.Demonstrates knowledge of the biopsychosocial influences and effects of dependencies andaddictive behaviors on the client and his significant others.
