Job description

Program Administrator - Coaching HER / Tucker Center

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Program Administrator to lead Body Confident Sport (BCS) program, a global initiative housed within the Coaching HER platform. BCS is a set of digital tools designed to help coaches create body-confident environments that empower girls in sport. The BCS program is supported by a BCS Partnership between Nike, Dove, Tucker Center, and Center of Appearance Research. The Program Manager will play a key leadership role in managing the BCS partnership, BCS program and BCS product / platform to advance BCS's global reach and measuring the impact by aligning user needs, partner priorities, and organizational goals. This role requires a high level of interdisciplinary collaboration across corporate partners, national and international sport organizations, academic institutions, and grassroots sport communities. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in project management, strategic planning, and communications, along with a passion for advancing equity and confidence in girls' sport experiences. This position is based on campus. Per UMN policy, work may be done remotely when appropriate and approved by your manager. This is a one-year Temporary Position.

About Body Confident Sport : Sport can be a powerful force in a girl's life. Yet, around the world, 45% of teenage girls are dropping out of sport - at twice the rate of boys - because of low body confidence. That's why Dove, the world's biggest provider of self-esteem and body confidence education, has teamed up with Nike, the biggest champion of athletes and sport, to launch the "Body Confident Sport program", to build body confidence for millions of girls and play sports a place where they feel like they belong. Body Confident Sport is a first-of-its-kind, scientifically proven set of coaching tools to build body confidence in 11-17-year-old girls. It was co-developed by Dove and Nike, in partnership with world-renowned researchers and experts - the Centre for Appearance Research and the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport - and includes input from girls and coaches from six countries, including France, India, Japan, Mexico, the U.K. and the U.S. Body Confident Sport provides coaches with the materials they need to increase girls' body confidence, body image and self-esteem through sport. About Coaching HER : Coaching HER is a free, research-based online educational platform housed in the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport at the University of Minnesota. Powered by Nike, the platform equips coaches with tools to challenge gender bias and better support girls in sport. To learn more, visit TuckerCenter.org and CoachingHER.org
