Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Medical Surgical Nurse, you will provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, often from specialized service lines like cardiac, orthopedic, or critical care, continuously building your education and experience.
Every day you will perform patient assessments, administer medications, manage complex care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, adapting to rapidly changing needs in a fast-paced environment.

Skilled performance in extreme life threatening emergencies.
Prioritizing, coordinating, and meeting multiple patient needs and requests in a timely manner.
Anticipating and preventing periods of extreme workload within a shift as evidenced by good time management and organizational skills.
Detection and documentation of significant changes in a patient’s condition.
Assist patients to understand their illness and the effects of lifestyle including diet, activity, smoking and weight loss.
Assess and evaluate a patient’s readiness to learn, and consider factors affecting a patient’s learning ability and knowledge level.
