About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Data Strategy and Engineering to lead the development and implementation of a modern data platform that will drive enterprise value across its portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the vision and roadmap, building the platform, integrating critical systems, and enabling the business with high-quality analytics. This role requires a hands-on approach to start, with a clear evolution into an executive position, and demands a best-in-class business athlete with great executive function and communication skills. The Head of Data Strategy and Engineering will be instrumental in standardizing data across entities, integrating key systems via APIs, and ensuring the platform is reliable and scalable. Key responsibilities include owning the enterprise data strategy, building a data mart on structured and unstructured data, and enabling the firm to deliver valuable insights and create efficiency across each portfolio company. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years' experience in building and owning modern data platforms, with a deep understanding of Microsoft Fabric and Azure services, and a proven track record in integrating APIs from core business systems. Proficiency in Power BI, excellent stakeholder management, and solid business acumen, particularly in accounting and finance, are essential. Experience in standing up a small data engineering team, establishing data governance, and exposure to advanced analytics concepts are also desirable.
