Unit Summary – Key Details

Radius Rule : 50 miles.

Must Submit : Unexpired driver’s license.

Licensing : Any hits must be disclosed at submission.

Beds : 48

RN Ratios : Days 1 : 5–7 | Nights 1 : 6–8

Certifications : BLS, active RN license (PCTs may take class or have CNA).

Experience : Minimum 1 year; first-time travelers accepted.

Patient Types : Pneumonia, UTI, AMS, GI bleed, ETOH withdrawal, falls / weakness.

Drips : RNs titrate Heparin, Bumex, Lasix (no cardiac drip titration).

Charge Nurse :

PCTs : Ratio 1 : 10–12; duties include vitals, BGMs, EKGs, monitors, ADLs.

Respiratory : RT manages all respiratory equipment (BiPAP / CPAP / High Flow). RN monitors only.

Telemetry : Monitor tech onsite; RNs not required to read strips.

Scheduling : RN 7–7 | CNA 6–6. No self-scheduling or block scheduling. Travelers must be flexible.

Weekends : Every other weekend

Holidays : RN rotation; PCTs work if scheduled day falls on holiday

Call : None

Floating : To MS, MS-Tele, or IMC for lower acuity patients.

Scrubs : RN – Navy | PCT – Ceil Blue | Secretary – Black & Pink

Orientation : 1 day education / computer, 1 day on unit with preceptor
