Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to lead client engagements, oversee staff, review their work product, and provide proactive client service. The work is complex and demands a high level of aptitude, organization, and attention to detail. Responsibilities
- Manage and review complex income tax returns for individuals, trusts, private foundations, partnerships, and s-corporations.
- Supervise, train, and review the work product of the staff.
- Utilize web-based research tools for analysis and decision making.
- Correspond with Federal, State, and local taxing authorities to resolve tax compliance issues.
- Participate in tax planning and review projections for extensions and quarterly estimated tax payments.
- Document, organize, and review various electronic workpapers as support for the tax returns.
- Coordinate with clients and their other professional advisors in a timely, professional manner.
- Foster relationships with clients, advisors, and other CPAs in order to bring new business to the firm.
Qualifications
7+ years of recent and demonstrated experience working with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and closely held entities.CPA license in Washington State.Strong computer skills, preferably to include CCH Axcess, Excel, QuickBooks, and CCH Engagement.Strong technical review abilities and communication skills.Experience providing guidance and mentorship to staff.Fully covered employee health, dental, vision, and long-term disability.Self‑directed 401(k) (Traditional or ROTH) and profit sharing.Extra hours worked during busy seasons can be banked and added to vacation time.Paid on‑site parking or public transportation.Continuing education opportunities.Job Type
Full‑time all year or only during busy seasons (January to April and August to October). We are open to discussing flexible work arrangements.
