Carrier Relations Analytic Consultant

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Carrier Relationship Management Risk and Revenue team at Mercer. This role can be based in Hartford, Boston, Chicago, New York, or Atlanta. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Carrier Relations Analytic Consultant is responsible for managing and building relationships with carriers and identifying data trends using data. The Consultant also acts as a liaison between Mercer and its carrier partners to resolve issues.

We will count on you to :

  • Build and maintain strategic, long-term relationships with carriers to support business objectives and enhance partnership value.
  • Guide strategy and drive initiatives informed by data-driven analysis, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Identify trends using carrier data and build compelling stories and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
  • Support business development by providing information on network capabilities and carrier partners.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, including planning, execution, monitoring and reporting to ensure alignment with timelines and deliverables.
  • Assist in developing, writing and maintaining comprehensive business plans that define project scope, objectives, resource requirements, risk assessments and stakeholder metrics.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations and reports for senior leaders and external customers, tailoring content to audience needs.
  • Collaborate with internal data teams and carrier partners to ensure data integrity, accuracy and timely availability.
  • Assist with annual budget development, collaborating on identifying carrier trends and historic payment details.

What you need to have :

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or commensurate industry experience.
  • Excellent analytic skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and use that information to make strategic recommendations.
  • 5+ years' experience in insurance setting with a focus on data analytics and carrier compensation and project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.

    The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
