Requirements

The Dock Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to dock operations. This includes strictly adhering to the network designed schedules for inbound / outbound and cross dock shipments, managing forklift operators and material handlers in the operations, training dock personnel, maintaining records, ensuring safety compliance, managing shipping paperwork, and overseeing forklift operator training and scheduling. The Dock Supervisor will also keep an inventory of assets, equipment, and supplies as well as take part in the schedule preventive care maintenance.

Qualifications :

Proven experience in dock or warehouse operations.

Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Proficiency in recordkeeping and inventory management.

Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.

Preferred Skills :

Familiarity with fleet management systems / Yard management Systems / Transportation management systems.

Experience in training and developing staff.

Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
