Material Program Manager (MPM)
RTX Collins is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to be accountable and responsible for providing and executing Supply Chain (SC) solutions. The MPM is the Supply Chain integrated product team (IPT) member, who has the responsibility and accountability to coordinate the Supply Chain disciplines (Procurement, Subcontracts, SC Operations, Logistics & Asset Management) with Finance, Engineering, Integrated Operations, Global Trade, and Legal.
This role will include working with a team of three (3) other MPM's and will report directly to the Sr. Manager, MPM lead, for the ATNAVICS program. The position is ideally based out of the Marlborough, MA, location and work east coast time. This position offers a 9 / 80 work schedule. The MPM creates, manages, and executes material program strategy (MPS) and the material program plan (MPP) to ensure program competitiveness and performance from the front end of the business through contract closure.
Key activities typically include : financial management (i.e., earned value, budgets, targets, working capital, material forecasts, etc.); overall ownership of the supplier management process (i.e., Supplier Risk / Opportunity Management Plan, supplier performance, metrics, international issues, develop / evaluate the make / buy / where strategy, the Collaborative Agreement process, etc.), and communication of customer flowthrough requirements such as FAR / DFARS / AMS, ITAR / EAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc. The MPM may act as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for Supply Chain labor and / or material. Working at the front end of the business, the MPM identifies and secures Supply Chain resources to support the capture plan and manages the Supply Chain content of the proposal pipeline.
Travel is estimated at 5%-10% to conduct supplier visits and Supply Chain leadership meetings.
What You Will Do
- Serving as the supply chain interface to the program and aligning Supply Chain resources and solutions with the Business needs
- Ensuring timely issue resolution for program requirements and issues
- Representing Supply Chain and providing input at gate reviews, EAC reviews, program reviews, and risk and opportunity management
- Supplier management, including forecasting, cost / schedule and quality management performance metrics, supplier assessments, sourcing strategies and proposal activity
- Developing and maintaining a Material Program Plan (MPP) and providing support to the Air Traffic Systems sub-mission area across the Supply Chain development, production and sustainment lifecycle
- Guide multiple functions on developing Supplier Statement of Work (SSOWs) and ensuring adherence to RTX policies
- Plan, participate and execute supplier and subcontractor negotiations and performance management
- Utilize RTX CORE policy and critical thinking skills to propose sound and innovative business solutions to increase operational efficiencies to ensure business area and program success.
- Accountability for close-out of contractual obligations (e.g. deliveries and open commitments)
- Driving cross functional engagements and collaborating with the program team
- Accountability for cost, schedule, quality and technical performance of subcontracted or Inter-Organization Transfer services and productions and effective integration within the program
- Communicating effectively and routinely on Supply Chain performance to Supply Chain leadership and the program team
- Representing the suppliers within RTX Collins and ensuring effective supplier execution in alignment with program reviews; building supplier relationships for future engagement
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and related systems, subcontract management, logistics, and asset management
- Tracking, entering and reporting on status of purchase requisitions and purchase orders
- Travel as required to suppliers and work locations as business needs dictate
Qualifications You Must Have
