Position Details :

- Location : Near Manvel, TX
- Shifts : 12-hour or 24-hour shifts available
- Duration : 4-month term with possible extensions
- Schedule : Open dates from December 25th to December 26th; additional shifts available through December 31, 2024
Role Requirements :
Experience : Minimum of 5 years in OB / GYN requiredSpecialty Competencies : Must be comfortable working within Maternal Level II to IV settingsNICU Capabilities : Ranging from Level II to IV depending on hospital locationCertifications : NCC fetal heart monitoring certification preferred, with regular training on fetal monitoring proficiencyLicensure : A clean professional file for immediate credentialing and temporary privilegesPrimary Responsibilities :
Patient Management :
Active care and monitoring of patients in L&D, antepartum, postpartum, and OBED units
Managing and evaluating all unassigned OB and gynecology patients presenting for acute or emergent issuesAssuming care for unassigned patients from admission to dischargeSupporting high-risk deliveries, including TOLAC cases, in collaboration with assigned community physiciansEmergency Response & Surgical Support :
Provide emergency obstetric and gynecological support across units until the primary physician arrives
Surgical first-assist during C-sections as neededParticipate in massive transfusion protocol for obstetric emergenciesTransport Coordination :
Coordinate transport for critically ill OB patients as necessary
Engage in multidisciplinary communication for patient transfers between facilitiesQuality and Compliance :
Documentation in electronic medical records to ensure regulatory compliance
Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and accreditations (TJC, CMS)Engage in safety and operational efficiency improvements alongside nursing and administrative staffPatient Care and Consultation :
Provide consultative support across hospital departments for obstetric cases as needed
Evaluate and manage cases involving opioid use disorder in coordination with local providersProfessional Conduct and Communication :
Foster effective working relationships with hospitalist team members, nurses, and support staffEngage in departmental meetings, training, and quality initiatives for practice improvementParticipate in hospital initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and care qualityApply Now :
