Job Description
The Tool Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines, handheld tools, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical tools. Training will be provided but knowledge of tools and equipment is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Maintenance and repair of tools and equipment to ensure they are in safe and working order.
- Inspection of tools and equipment to identify damage or wear and tear.
- Disassembly and assembly of tools to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
- Replacement of faulty parts or components with new ones.
- Cleaning and lubrication of tools to prevent corrosion and subsequent damage.
- Keeping records of all tools and equipment and maintaining an inventory.
- Providing training to operators on proper use, maintenance, and safety.
- Providing training for hoist and torque wrench certifications.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.Experience in tool maintenance, repair or inspection is a plus, but training will be provided still.Strong technical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.Strong communication skills.Must write clearlyAttention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Must be able to lift heavy equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.Must have your own transportation.Working Conditions :
Work is performed in an air conditioning shop.Position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting.Safety gear such as hearing protection and goggles must be worn while performing the job.May be required to work overtime or on weekends.
