Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Seymour, Indiana (47274) – Indiana nursing jobs

Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract

Start Date : ASAP

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts / week)

Guaranteed Hours : 34.5 hours / week

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,720 - $1,840

Unit : Adult Medical / Surgical & Pediatrics (2N / 3N)

Bed Count : 23 surgical beds, 19 adult beds, 5 pediatric beds

Nurse to Patient Ratio : 1 : 5, with LPN and CNA clinical support

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical Surgical Nursing

Previous travel nursing experience required

Pediatric nursing experience required

Active RN license in Indiana or compact state (Indiana healthcare jobs)

American Heart Association BLS certification (required)

ACLS certification preferred

Ability to float between adult medical and surgical units

Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients on medical and surgical units

Administer medications, perform head-to-toe assessments, monitor vital signs, and manage IVs and blood administration

Operate clinical equipment including telemetry, bladder scanners, vein viewers, and Meditech charting systems

Collaborate with LPNs and CNAs for patient care, daily living activities, and ambulation

Maintain accurate documentation and uphold infection control protocols, including isolation procedures

Participate in hands-on orientation and ongoing training with a dedicated preceptor
