Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery, you will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. You are essential to the healthcare team, focused on achieving positive outcomes for patients and your unit.
Your Responsibilities :
Demonstrate expertise in the assessment, treatment, and care of laboring mothers and newborns.Collaborate with healthcare team members to protect and enhance the health of individuals and families.Exhibit knowledge to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and development criteria suitable for the age of patients.Engage in Shared Governance and contribute ideas to improve nursing practices.Consider factors related to safety, effectiveness, and cost when planning and delivering nursing services.Qualifications :
Graduate from an accredited Nursing school; Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.Current Registered Nurse license in your practicing state is required.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross is required.Prior RN experience in Labor and Delivery is essential.
