American Traveler is seeking a Neuro-Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience in neurovascular imaging and ARRT R and BLS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a short-term acute care hospital within a Neuro-Interventional Radiology unitPerforms diagnostic cerebral angiograms, coiling, stenting, embolizations, stroke thrombectomies, venous sampling, operating room angiograms, lumbar punctures, and other neurovascular proceduresCaseload averages 6-8 procedures per technologist daily, using three procedure roomsUtilizes Siemens Bi-plane, C-arm, and contrast for neurovascular image acquisition and post-processingDepartment handles both adult and pediatric neurovascular casesDay shift : 4x10-hour shifts, typically 7 : 30 AM to 6 : 00 PM, including every 5th or 6th Saturday as neededWeekday call required from 4 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM; weekend call from Friday 4 : 00 PM through Monday 7 : 30 AMFloat required within the service line but not to other facilitiesEPIC is used for charting and EMR documentationMain duties include operation of Siemens Bi-plane system, positioning for image acquisition, post-processing, and circulating casesScrub experience is not required for this positionCollaboration with a multidisciplinary team of neuroradiologists and neurosurgeonsDepartment may perform some pediatric neuro-interventional proceduresRequired to wear black, red, or white scrubsNo more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract and no time off during the first week of orientationMonthly parking passes available for a fee; orientation parking not reimbursedPermanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a travelerAll travelers may remain up to 18 months with a 3-month mandatory break between engagementsFacial hair must allow for proper fit testing; shaving may be required for mask fit compliance\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 1 year of experience in neuro-interventional radiology is requiredARRT R and BLS certifications are required; ARRT VI is preferredExperience with C-arm and contrast use in neurovascular imaging is requiredEPIC charting experience requiredFirst-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experienceMust reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not acceptedValid state license required if applicable; pending license accepted for MissouriPhysical ability to position for imaging and circulate cases\n Benefits\n
