Purpose within the Organization :
The focus for our team members is to provide the Habit Difference through food, guaranteeing our guests enjoy quality and custom-built items made to order right from our kitchen.
Responsibilities related to purpose :
- Custom-build orders including those with dietary restrictions and allergens.
- Prepare and cook ingredients for menu items such as proteins, vegetables, and other items, ensuring proper doneness.
- Work to efficiently produce customer orders in a timely manner, while working alongside other kitchen team members to maintain smooth service.
- Work on hot stations and handle hot equipment.
- Help to provide a satisfying and delightful experience to our customers.
- Uphold an enthusiastic, positive energy and attitude.
- Continuously pursue excellence by learning new workstations and cross training in all areas of The Habit.
- Work with integrity, do the right thing even when difficult.
- Complete job tasks and responsibilities well while also helping others to do theirs.
- Contribute to creating The Habit Difference by working with professionalism and sense of urgency.
- Meet Habit / Sodexo uniform standards every shift with provided shirt, hat, and nametag (all jewelry including permanent and watches are prohibited during shifts).
- Clean as you go through each station on every shift.
- Upkeep stations in kitchen to ensure workspace is clean and restocked, assist Front of House in functions and help maintain dining room cleanliness.
- Participate in monthly training for company, safety, and hazard topics.
- May include working an opening or closing shift.
Qualifications :
Must conform to all Habit / Sodexo dress code, standards / policies, and PPE requirements.Must have a Maricopa County Food Handler's Card and food service nonslip shoes before first shift.Must have complete open availability around scheduled classes including nights and around / on some Holidays. WEEKEND AVAILABILITY REQUIRED.Attend scheduled shifts on time and ready to work.Ability to cross train in other areas of the restaurant including prep kitchen and Front of House.Sense of urgency and ability to work in fast-paced environment.Works with professionalism and integrity.Communicates respectfully to co-workers, customers, and others visiting our location.Able to assist in providing direction and being responsive to employees.Open minded to growing and learning different areas of the business.Education :

Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program.Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
