Data Center Security Manager, AMER East

AWS is growing rapidly and we are looking for a Data Center Security Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team.

Key job responsibilities

Deliver Results

Oversee contract security staff and daily operations

Manage data center security

Coordinate with security vendors

Maintain availability for emergency response

Monitor and ensure functionality of security systems

Ownership

Drive continuous improvement through KPIs and improvement plans

Ensure proper protocol adherence by all personnel

Oversee access control visitor management and CCTV systems

Manage facility access badge issuance

Maintain security equipment through regular inspections

Implement preventative maintenance programs

Bias for Action

Investigate security incidents and provide notifications

Involvement in emergency response plans and evacuation procedures

Develop relationships with law enforcement and emergency services

Customer Obsession

Generate security incident reports

Prepare and deliver presentations to business partners

Support internal security evaluations

Ensure compliance with corporate security standards

Earn Trust

Identify security-related opportunities

Develop innovative security solutions

Ensure professional security interactions

• 3 years of security-related professional experience
• 2 years experience in security patrolling and reporting
• 2 years experience working with security vendors and contractors
• Bachelors degree or above in Security Law Enforcement or military discipline
• 1 years experience in access control and video surveillance software applications (eg. LENEL or C-cure)
• 2 years experience working in a facility and observing security gaps in physical barriers security officer procedure policies surveillance equipment and alarm points.
• 1 years experience working with workflow ticketing and extraction of performance metrics.
• 1 years experience investigating accidents thefts disturbances discrepancies.
• 2 years overseeing security sub contractors that provide guards electronic security systems door construction door repair fencing and access controls.
• 1 years experience overseeing security construction projects.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72100 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $154000 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and / or other benefits.
