NYC Health + Hospitals / Coler, a proud affiliate of NYU Grossman School of Medicine, is currently seeking a Per Diem Gastroenterologist to provide consultative services to patients in our skilled nursing facility on Roosevelt Island. This is an excellent opportunity to care for a medically complex and diverse patient population while collaborating with an experienced interdisciplinary team in a supportive and collegial environment.

Responsibilities :

As a Per Diem Gastroenterologist at NYC Health + Hospitals / Coler, you will :

• Provide in-person gastroenterology consultations for long-term care and post-acute patients.
• Evaluate and manage gastrointestinal conditions such as liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, GERD, dysphagia, nutritional concerns, and other digestive disorders.
• Collaborate closely with Primary Care Providers, Nursing, Rehabilitation, Psychiatry, and Nutrition Services to deliver coordinated, holistic care.
• Document assessments and treatment plans thoroughly in the electronic health record.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings as appropriate.
