The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Flight Simulation | Labs Mid-Level Software Engineering Manager to join the Flight Simulation | Labs Software group located in Berkeley, MO. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic and cohesive management team in a large, cross-functional integrated product team (IPT) developing the modeling and simulation capabilities that enable the cutting-edge capabilities going on today and tomorrow's combat aircraft developed by the Air Dominance Division of the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The ideal candidate will lead the Core Flight Simulation | Labs (FSL) software strategy and team of engineers developing platform agnostic frameworks and tools in an agile, collaborative environment. The Core FSL team is responsible for the frameworks and tools that are common to multiple aircraft programs. A strong software leader will help drive increased commonization across programs. This role will also be responsible for leading Research and Development and capital improvement projects across multiple software teams. Additionally, the selected candidate will serve as a business owner on the Agile Release Train. The successful candidate will need to work as part of a cohesive leadership team. Adaptability, the ability to work closely with others, and an open mind are essential attributes of the management team members. Experience in leading teams is required; agile development experience and modeling and simulation or mission systems experience is preferred and highly beneficial.
