Description :

Registered Nurses are responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill pediatric patients.

The patient care environment includes a pediatric intensive care unit with a small number of beds and a specialized patient-to-nurse ratio.

Nurses will perform a variety of procedures including IV starts, catheterizations, lumbar punctures, and central line dressing changes.

They will also monitor hemodynamics, provide tracheostomy care, manage tube feeding and placement, and oversee intracranial pressure monitoring and ventilator management.

Documentation will be completed using the Cerner system.

Flexibility in scheduling is required, including availability to work weekends and float to other departments when necessary.

Staff members are expected to adhere to the dress code of navy blue or white scrubs.
