US Tax Lead
We're hiring a US Tax Lead to shape the tax foundations of the business as we grow across markets and products.
You'll join a growing tax team, working across global structuring, planning, compliance oversight, and launch execution.
The role sits with the Finance Director and includes regular interaction with C-suite leaders, driving discussions on tax risks, structural choices, and long-term planning. As a member of a developing function, you'll also shape how the team evolves as we scale.
We're looking for someone who has meaningful experience in these areas already - someone who can provide direction, drive best practice, and steer how tax supports the business.
Key responsibilities
1. US Tax Ownership
Identify opportunities for US tax efficiency, including incentives, credits, elections, and planning levers.
Manage US tax outsourcing partners, ensuring high-quality delivery, clear scopes, and effective coordination with internal teams.
Own end-to-end US tax compliance, including oversight of the consolidated US return and all US-specific tax obligations.
Produce forward-looking assessments of the US tax position, highlighting emerging risks and expected changes.
2. Group Structure & Tax Planning
Drive the effectiveness of the group's global tax structure - assessing overall tax efficiency, identifying unnecessary tax leakage and risks, and recommending structural or operational improvements.
Lead global tax planning initiatives, including international structuring, cross-border tax impacts, transfer pricing considerations, and profit repatriation.
Stay ahead of emerging global tax changes (US and international) and translate these into practical implications, risk assessments, and recommended actions.
3. Geographical Expansion & Product Launches
Provide early, practical tax guidance for new market launches - shaping structuring decisions and ensuring tax requirements are incorporated effectively.
Work closely with Control and market teams through launch execution to ensure tax processes are compliant, scalable, and aligned with the overall group tax strategy.
Assess tax implications of new products, defining compliance obligations, business impact, and any required structural or operational changes.
