Position Overview

A Ready Mix Intern will be given the opportunity to work with a vertically integrated company and experience multiple aspects of the ready mix division.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :

• Learn and assist with the customer service department, answering calls, directing customers, etc.
• Learn and assist in the sales department.
• Learn and assist in the quality control department.
• Learn and assist with data analytics.
• Learn and assist in plant operations

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications include :

Education and Experience

Working towards a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Concrete Management or Operations Management from a college or technical school; Must be proficient with Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
