Summary :
- The Registered Nurse (RN) operates as a key member of the health care team using the nursing process, clinical skills and leadership to direct, provide and evaluate age / population specific patient care according to the department's scope of service. Analyze patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
Responsibilities :
1. Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patients' condition :

orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assists to determine plan of care
identifies expected outcomesimplements and modifies interventions identified in the patient plan of careevaluates the patient's progress towards outcomes and modifies patient treatment plans as indicated by patient response and conditionprepares patients for, and assists with, examinations and treatmentsaccurately prepares and administers medications according to polices and proceduresDocuments nursing process in nursing assessment, nursing care plan (NCP), and nurses notes as outlined in policy and procedure. Diagnosis is valid for patient, interventions are appropriate and outcomes evaluated. Changes in the plan of care are made as the patient progresses.

EDUCATIONGraduate from an accredited School of NursingEXPERIENCENone required for new graduates. Requirements for specialty areas are defined as 1-2 years of experience in specialty area or related clinical experience.LICENSURE / REGISTRATION / CERTIFICATIONCurrent licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina; BCLS certification; additional certifications required in specialty areas.Job Details
