Position : R outine Fleet Maintenance Technician
Shift : Between 7a-5pm, weekends is on call basis.
Pay rate : $15.00 per hour
As a Routine Fleet Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and longevity of our fleet vehicles. Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, and all manner of automotive maintenance, that you are qualified to perform. You will be responsible for diagnosing and maintaining a variety of vehicles, including trucks, vans, and specialized equipment. You will also be the point person for all computerized maintenance management systems & repair vendor management. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, strong computer literacy, and a dedication to ensuring that our fleet operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities :
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with fleet vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks, to ensure the reliability and longevity of fleet vehicles.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any potential safety hazards or maintenance needs.
- Complete repairs and replacements of faulty parts or components, ensuring that all work is done accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate major repairs with local vendors and ownership.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to aid in the diagnosis and repair of vehicle issues.
- Maintain detailed records within the computerized maintenance management systems.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance and repairs.
- Assist in the ordering and inventory management of parts and supplies necessary for vehicle maintenance.
- Stay up to date on advancements in automotive technology and industry best practices.
Requirements :
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional weekends as needed.Computer literacy to include learning software and toggling between multiple programs quickly.High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in automotive repair preferred.Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a fleet or automotive maintenance environment.Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues.Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics to guide repair and maintenance procedures.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and parts.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.Position Summary
The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for tracking our fleet of vehicles, and the maintenance schedules, and ensuring proper maintenance is completed on time. You will also be responsible for communicating with maintenance vendors, employees, and others regarding vehicle usage and needs. Flexible availability is a must to align with the needs of the business requiring some overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed. The coordinator will be responsible / accountable for the overall quality of fleet serviceResponsible for performing skilled mechanical labor in the maintenance of district vehiclesTroubleshoot, diagnose and coordinate repairs for vehicle malfunctions; provide routine preventive maintenance; adjust, may remove and / or replace parts and componentsConducts road tests of vehicles after the completion of repairs to ensure driver / passenger safetyTaking care of vehicle registrations and tags through the stateOrders and picks up parts and materials necessary for maintenance and repair workMaintains tools and equipment assignments; keeps shop area cleanPrepares accurate and complete vehicle maintenance records and logsWorks alongside the Director through planning, coordinating, and directing the day-to-day management of the fleet.Works to continuously improve the processes, quality of service, and operational efficiencyNotifies Director of issues in the field, or internally, for timely leadership follow-upRequirements :
