A Brief Overview

Provides physical therapy services to neonatal and pediatric inpatients at Holy Name who have been referred for treatment by a physician.

What you will do

• Evaluates and plan specific treatment programs upon the referral of a physician.
• Treats and documents progress of patients in a timely fashion
• Evaluates the extent of the disability through pertinent chart findings and objective evaluation procedures
• Develops appropriate short term and long term goals with patient, family members and caregivers.
• Teaches rehabilitation techniques to overcome disability through the use of supportive devices
• Assists with discharge planning.
• Maintains and cares for all therapeutic equipment in all patient areas.
• Instruct other health professionals, support personnel and patient, families in proper safety and exercise programs.
• Coordinates schedule of assigned in-patients or out-patients
• Maintains statistical reports as requested.
• Participates in a present in-service program as directed by Senior Education Therapist or Director of Rehabilitation Services. Performs at minimum 1 inservice per year for the department
• Records treatment data and progress notes in the medical records. Reports on patient progress at rounds or other clinical team meetings
• Assists in departmental marketing and educates medical and other hospital staff about services provided by physical therapy.
• Prioritizes caseload, determine daily staffing needs and coordinate assignments / handoffs.
• Supervises affiliating students as per assignment of the Senior Education Physical Therapist
• All other duties as assigned

If you are hired at Holy Name, your final base compensation will be determined based on factors such as employment status (Full / Part-Time or Per Diem) skills, education, and / or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Pay Range : $41.50 / hour - $48.85 / hour
