Position Overview
The Registered Nurse provides direct and indirect patient care in a high-volume orthopedic clinic, supporting the surgeon and ensuring seamless patient flow. This role involves patient assessment, documentation, coordination of care, and adherence to nursing standards and organizational policies.
Responsibilities
- Support a busy ortho practice; assist provider with exams, procedures, and treatments.
- Obtain and document comprehensive nursing histories and perform focused assessments.
- Record and monitor vital signs; identify abnormal findings and communicate results promptly.
- Prepare patients and exam rooms; maintain supplies and equipment readiness.
- Provide patient education, triage, and consults according to established protocols.
- Coordinate surgery scheduling and post-operative care as needed.
- Apply and remove casts and splints under provider direction.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team to achieve care goals.
- Document care accurately and evaluate patient progress.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain clinical competencies.
Education & Experience Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin.Minimum of 6 months of recent RN experience (2+ years preferred).Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required).BLS / CPR certification required.Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and auto insurance.Schedule
M-F8a-4 : 30p with a half day on WednesdaysWill cover clinic in Oshkosh (3 days) and Neenah (2 days)Benefits
