Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, ARRT certification, and state licensure for an evening shift position in a Level 1 trauma setting.
Responsibilities
Position is based in a short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, teaching, Level 1 trauma hospitalWork in the MRI unit covering outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and Level 1 trauma casesCares for patients across the lifespan, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatricsPatient cases include musculoskeletal, neuro, body, abdomen, pelvis, head / neck, chest, spine, CINE, and moreProcedures involve IV starts, contrast administration, and operation of PACSEvening shift from 2 : 30 pm to 11 : 00 pm, 5 days a weekWeekend coverage required every third weekendNo floating or on-call responsibilitiesUses Epic charting system; Epic experience is preferredPosition includes responsibility for the full spectrum of MRI procedures and image post-processingCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentWine-colored scrubs requiredFree parking available with badge accessInitial orientation and Epic training providedUp to 5 days of requested time off allowed per assignment and must be submitted with applicationFirst-time travelers will be consideredLocal candidates are accepted without a radius restrictionReturning staff must wait 12 months before reapplyingRequirements
Minimum 1 year of recent MRI technologist experienceActive state MRI technologist license required by start dateARRT certification and BLS requiredAbility to provide proof of high school educationExperience performing advanced MRI procedures including musculoskeletal, neuro, and body imagingIV insertion, contrast administration, and PACS proficiency requiredExperience in Level 1 trauma hospital is requiredEpic EMR experience preferredLicense required if applicableBenefits
