The Midtown Group has been selected to fulfill two long -term contract Tech & Web Development Support roles for one of the area’s leading clean energy associations that builds and maintains award winning websites for their member organizations "cleaner" energy companies.
Ideal candidates will be junior Tech & Web Support professionals who have a creative and marketing mindset, are strongly skilled in CSS & HTML, and exceptional at talking through various components of web site related issues.
The members who need assistance tend to be highly intelligent but not very technical and require patience and a high level of customer focus. The work can be fast paced and requires exceptional communication and organizational skills, and the self-discipline to prioritize effectively.
Position Summary :
Provide technical, functional, and administrative support to members seeking assistance with their organization's websites. Ensure that all assigned web sites are running smoothly, meeting the member organization's objective.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Navigate members through the association's web-based programs that are available and highly visible to cooperatives and consumers.
1. Manage day to day operations of Co-op Web Builder program (web site development tool currently deployed with 400 co-ops and 650 web sites in development).
- Consulting with members to develop and design web sites using several templates created from the Co-op Web Builder content management tool.
- Assist members by answering inquiries, filling member requests, and troubleshooting problems.
- Offer thoughtful input and feedback to cooperative members on content, multimedia applications, structure, design and Touchstone Energy brand standards.
- Work with Co-op Web Builder content management system to assist with building web sites that provide brand identity and continuity.
- Train members to use the Co-op Web Builder tool.
- Provide excellent customer service to cooperative members.
- Own problems, tasks and projects and work through them to completion.
- Frequently review and monitor web sites for accuracy.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :
Strong customer service and website related tech support skills required.Degree in Art, Web Design and / or Development preferred.Eye for design and ability to create elements via CSS and HTML.1-2 years’ experience with a variety of design tools including one or more of the following : Adobe Creative Suite or other web design tools.1-2 years’ experience with content management system, WordPress and Drupal preferred.Expert with HTML / CSS and expected to use on a daily basis.Some experience with JavaScript and jQuery is desired but not required.Knowledge of LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) environments.Understanding of social media (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube) and applications for web use preferred.Compensation, hours, and duration
$26.00 to $30.00 per hour, DOE.Hours can vary but are usually in the 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EDT range, 40 hours per week.6 + months, perhaps longer, and the possibility of converting to full time.Proven training and lots of opportunity for growth and professional development.
