On-Site Position

Emergency Room RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or valid Compact state RN license

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – American Heart Association

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – AHA

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification – AHA

TNCC or ATCN, CPI or equivalent preferred

Strong communication and clinical skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced ER environment

Knowledge of patient rights and age-specific care standards

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Coordinate and deliver patient care for all age groups in the Emergency Department

Provide high-quality, efficient, and safe nursing care in accordance with clinical and hospital standards

Demonstrate professionalism and respect toward staff, physicians, patients, and families

Respond quickly and effectively to emergency and crisis situations

Maintain accurate documentation and clear communication with the healthcare team

Participate in ongoing education and maintain required nursing certifications

Perform essential physical tasks, including standing, walking, positioning, and transferring patients and equipment
