Join our team as a Clinical Nurse II in the Neurosciences and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit!

As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in fostering a compassionate and caring environment for our patients, their families, and your colleagues. Your contributions are valuable and essential to upholding our mission of providing exceptional care.

Our unit consists of 21 beds, accommodating patients with a range of neurological conditions including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, brain tumors, aneurysms, seizures, and traumatic brain injuries. Within these beds, we also have 7 dedicated Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) beds for patients undergoing treatment for seizure disorders. You will be part of a team ensuring rigorous monitoring every 4 hours, allowing for specialized medical interventions like brain mapping for surgical candidates.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1 : 5, ensuring that you can provide focused and attentive care to those who need it most.

Key Responsibilities :

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document care per policy and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
• Make informed nursing judgments in managing patient care.
• Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
• Guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.
