The ideal candidate will provide safe, therapeutic care to patients with behavioral health needs, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and thrive in a supportive, team-based environment. Responsibilities : Provide direct nursing care to patients in a psychiatric / behavioral health setting Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document care accurately Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans Support patients through crisis intervention and therapeutic communication Educate patients and families on treatment plans, coping strategies, and discharge instructions Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff Requirements : Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state Minimum 2 years of recent psychiatric / behavioral health experience Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred) Strong communication, de-escalation, and critical thinking skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
