Job description

Note : This is a field-based sales position. Candidates must reside within the territory, which includes Sioux Falls, SD , Omaha, NE , and Fargo, ND , and be able to travel locally on a daily basis to meet with healthcare providers and stakeholders. Regular in-person engagement is essential to the success of this role.

Overview

Myriad Genetics is seeking top-tier sales talent who are passionate about improving patients' lives through precision medicine. As an Oncology Sales Executive , you will play a pivotal role in expanding our oncology business while supporting existing accounts in a high-impact territory. This is more than just a sales role-it's an opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation in cancer diagnostics.

You'll represent Myriad's industry-leading oncology portfolio, including hereditary cancer testing, tumor profiling, and companion diagnostics, helping healthcare providers make more informed treatment decisions. Responsibility

  • Identify, develop, and manage commercial relationships with key opinion leaders in medicine and other key healthcare professionals.
  • Identify and capitalize on commercial opportunities for growth within a specific region or geography - predominately in the traditional out-patient practices, but also inclusive of institutions, local insurance payors, physician groups, long term care facilities, etc.
  • Manage full lifecycle of the product sales process, including new business development and lead generation via programs and other initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on the development of sales and marketing collateral.
  • Attend local tradeshows, industry conferences and networking events.
  • Staying current on industry and marketplace trends in the areas of personalized medicine.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferred.
  • 3+ years of sales experience or relevant clinical experience; preferably in biotech, healthcare, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Must reside in the Territory.
  • Experience in biotech, healthcare, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals preferred.
  • Excellent presentation, training, coaching, and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Strong interpersonal skills : active listening, coaching, advising, problem-solving, and facilitation.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable engaging customers remotely and in person.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred.
  • proficient in Excel preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA laws and patient privacy regulations preferred.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record meeting Myriad's policy standards.
  • Ability to model and live corporate values and professional ethics.
  • Physical Requirements

    Lifting Requirements - sedentary to light work or exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements - stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending / descending, communicating, and observing. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions. OSHA category III - normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid, or tissue and as part of the employment, will not be called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.
