Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a WA or compact license and current advanced certifications for a night shift position.
Responsibilities
Work in the Emergency Department at a Critical Access Hospital with 11 beds and 1 trauma bayServes an average of 35 patients per day with a 4 : 1 nurse-to-patient ratioNight shifts are 7p-7 : 30a with occasional flex to 3p-3a for one shift every two weeksEvery other weekend and holiday shifts are requiredPrimary assignment at one facility with floating required throughout designated Region II hospitals as neededUses Epic EMR system; prior experience with Epic is beneficialVents used : PB980sPhlebotomists draw labs and IV team available during business hours; RT staff onsite 24 / 7Must provide care for a broad spectrum of emergency conditions in a fast-paced environmentCharge nurse onsite; no nurse aides or paramedics routinely present24 / 7 ED physician or mid-level provider coverage is providedHouse resource nurse and St. Francis Hospital pharmacy cover after hoursSpecific orientation is provided for the unitFirst to float among Region II facilities as neededCandidates may not have been employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year, unless employed PRN through an outside agencyRequirements
Active WA or compact RN license must be in hand at time of considerationMinimum of 2 years recent Emergency Department nursing experience requiredCurrent certifications : ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and either PALS or ENPCTwo professional references required : one supervisor reference from the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor reference from the last 3 yearsCopy of valid driver's license required for considerationBenefits
