[2025-2026] Social Studies Teacher (Bronx) Middle School

Position Overview :

KIPP NYC is looking for teachers who combine the ability to motivate and educate to develop academic as well as character skills and to make a college preparatory education relevant both now and for the future.

Duties and Responsibilities :

General responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :

• Teaching a rigorous college preparatory curriculum which combines the schools standards and the New York State standards
• Teaching students in a high-quality exciting way
• Committing to constant professional and personal growth through working closely as part of a team of teachers
• Using data to drive decisions
• Constantly assessing student progress and communicating results to families and colleagues
• Providing individual or small group instruction for students who need additional assistance
• Modeling KIPP NYCs character strengths in all interactions and communications with students families and staff.

Additional Information :

KIPP NYC offers a competitive salary ranging from $70829 - $136704 per year. Salaries are determined using an equitable compensation scale that accounts for years of experience relevant to the role NYS initial or professional certification and longevity within the KIPP network. KIPP NYC will evaluate a candidates years of experience certification and longevity at the point of hire to determine the step / level a new hire will be placed within our teacher salary scale.
