• Experience in outpatient, community hospital, orthopedics, neuro, and vascular
• Weekend availability required
• Ability to cover one night shift as needed

Description :

Start times can vary from 7 am, 9 am, and 11 am.

12 hour shifts may require coverage for one night shift within the contract as needed.

Surgical Tech experience in outpatient, community hospital, orthopedics, neuro, and vascular is required.

Inpatient and trauma experience is preferred.

First-timers are accepted.

Weekend work will be required, up to 3 shifts per schedule.

No national certifications are required.

BLS certification is mandatory.

On-call duties include one weeknight per week and every 2nd or 3rd Saturday or Sunday, with a 20-minute response time.

Accommodation for block scheduling is not available.

No local candidates will be accepted.

Pending state licenses will not be accepted.

All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission, as approval will be based on facility needs.

The facility may call off one shift every two weeks.

The facility is a short-term acute care setting with 80 staffed beds.

The work environment includes support for licensed professionals in various patient care scenarios.

Expectations include experience in orthopedics, neuro, vascular, and trauma cases.

Specific procedures required include case cart and crash cart usage.

Preferred experience includes craniotomy and airway management.

Weekend work schedule and variable shifts may include start times of 7 am, 9 am, 11 am, or 3 pm.

A 13-week contract is standard.

Certified surgical techs are preferred for this role.

Candidates may be required to float between nearby facilities as needed.

Travelers should expect to work during 2 out of 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.

Minimum supervisory references covering 1 year of experience in a comparable specialty are needed.

Completion of required modules prior to start is expected.

Time spent on modules is self-reported and recorded.
