Echo Technologist (8a-4 : 30p) Bristol, TN

Job Description : Summary :

The Echo Technologist is responsible for the performance and technical analysis of cardiac and / or vascular ultrasound data. The Tech shall demonstrate excellent ultrasound scanning skills and knowledge of pathophysiology in patients from fetal to geriatric age (0-100+), as appropriate. This individual will serve as a resource person to peers, physicians, fellows, and other staff members. Assists in training / precepting personnel in non-invasive ultrasound procedures. The Tech will assist in evaluating various manufacturers' products and makes recommendations. The Tech is responsible for additional duties as assigned.

Requirements :

Associate's degree in ultrasound or graduate of an approved Sonography program. Must demonstrate excellent scanning skills without supervision. Critical thinking skills are necessary to apply general ultrasound principles to individual patients in unique situations.

Licenses and Certifications :

Valid and active ARDMS or CCI certification

AHA BLS required

Work Requirements : Shift : Day

On Call : Yes

Weekends : Rotating
