Surgery - Thoracic Physician Assistant

CT Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Locums Job Seeking 7-14 Days per Month in Northern Virginia October 2025 + Ongoing

Coverage Need :

Friday, 10 / 17 (1500) - Monday, 10 / 20 (ending at 0700)

Friday, 11 / 7 (1500) - Monday, 11 / 20 (ending at 0700)

Friday, 11 / 28 (1500) - Monday, 12 / 1 (ending at 0700)

Shifts :

Seeking inpatient coverage between the hours of 6 : 30AM - 3PM + night and weekend call coverage

Details / Requirements for Assignment :

Active + unrestricted Virginia license + DEA is required

Active Board Certification required

If Nurse Practitioner - MUST be Acute Care NP (Health System cannot credential those that do not have the IP training - certification is required)

Facility's Cardiac Staff : will work alongside of 2 CT Surgeons, 1 lead PA, 2 integrated RN care managers, 1 clinic RN + 1 clerical staff member

Case volume : will do approximately 4-8 cases per week and assist with ED consults / daily patient rounding

ALL skills associated with CT Surgery APP is required including Vein Harvesting, + Chest Tube Placements

Patient population is 100% Adult + Geriatric

Facility details : Epic EMR, 220+ bed facility, level III trauma designation
