The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is the state agency that focuses solely on policies, programs, and services for people with mental health challenges, substance use disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, or any combination of these.
As Georgia's public safety net, DBHDD operates six field offices and five hospitals throughout the state within three program areas : behavioral health, developmental disabilities, and hospital services.
This position is located at : West Central Georgia Regional Hospital (WCGRH)
Located at 3000 Schatulga Road, Columbus Georgia. WCGRH has inpatient treatment units for Adult Mental Health and Forensic care.
Supervises, guides, and / or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications : Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all the following skills / experience :
Licensed by the State of Georgia and / or Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in Georgia AND three years' experience supervising direct care staff. BSN a plus but not required for candidates having extensive experience.
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse and four (4) years of professional nursing experience; which includes two (2) years in a lead worker, team leader, or managerial / supervisory role; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Registered Nurse 3 (HCP072) or position equivalent.
