About the Data Engineering Team

Our Data Engineering team is at the forefront of Walmarts digital transformation, building robust, cloud-native data platforms that enable real-time analytics and actionable insights. We operate in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, partnering with business and technology leaders to deliver innovative solutions. As a Senior Engineer, youll help define our technical direction and ensure our data infrastructure supports Walmarts ambitious growth and customer-centric goals.

What Youll Do

• Architect and design scalable real-time data streaming solutions (Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Spark Streaming, Databricks)
• Lead cloud migration and optimize data infrastructure across AWS and Azure
• Develop orchestration workflows with Apache Airflow and enhance Spark on Kubernetes / ECS
• Implement low-latency analytics and robust monitoring (Sumologic, QuickSight, Power BI)
• Mentor engineering teams and drive best practices in cloud-native data architecture

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
