The Louisville Health Care CEO Council (CEOc) is comprised of some of the largest healthcare companies in the nation, all headquartered or founded in Louisville, KY. The CEOs of these companies, who make up the board of directors, organized the council to leverage the strengths and assets of their organizations to solve important national healthcare problems that extend beyond the scope of any one single member company.
Role Description
The CEOc is seeking an Executive Director to lead its portfolio of innovation projects that address systemic healthcare challenges nationally while creating regional economic vibrancy. The Executive Director will be responsible for leading all aspects of CEOc innovation initiatives by actualizing the mission and vision through effective implementation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Lead the processes by which the Council members and select affiliates identify and align around the strategic priorities of the Council
- Develop and execute the systems and methods required to effectively bring healthcare ecosystem companies together and coordinate the collaborative work toward the strategic priorities of the Council
- Utilization and management of Aging2.0 network for initiatives
- Leading the annual Global Innovation Search and Pitch event
- Serve as the primary point of contact for meeting the needs of the startup community and companies selected as pitch finalists and winners
- Provide insights on OPTIMIZE Conference Content
- Establish the strategic plans to achieve defined metrics, milestones and objectives of the Councils strategic priorities
- Lead the development and execution of the Alliance Program
- Develop relationships with healthcare executives, experts and investors to unearth insights which lead to venture opportunities
- Lead the Innovation Committee to oversee and guide all innovation efforts
- Conduct Discovery Labs with stakeholders to generate insights into market need and develop / publish Discovery Lab report
- Leverage insights generated from discovery labs to lead innovation searches in partnership with Aging 2.0
- Support market research to validate ideas including analysis of the competitive landscape, existing clinical models, relevant regulatory changes, etc.
- Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders in the innovation / entrepreneurial space through roundtables that result in white papers
- Establish Innovation programs as a national model through presentations at national forums, publishing white papers / articles, etc.
- Provide milestone updates for social content
- Grant writing as needed
Qualifications :
Minimum of five years of progress leadership experience within the healthcare industryPrevious experience leading an organization at a Director-level or above; or has served in a capacity working closely with executive leadershipExperience in early-stage healthcare businesses with strong understanding of success driversMarket insight across healthcare services and technology to identify high-value opportunitiesResilient, motivated, and proactive in solving problems and thriving under pressureHigh emotional intelligence and dynamic communication skills for building trusted relationshipsStrong project management skills with ability to balance complex details and big-picture strategyExcellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with capacity to manage multiple priorities effectivelyIndependent and resourceful, with sound decision-making under minimal supervisionCompetencies :
